ADLs: activities of daily living. (things that you do everyday, which are considered accomplishing ones body care e.g., bathing, mobility, sexual activities and so on.)
IADLs: instrumental activities of daily living. (activities that are oriented toward interacting with the environment and that are often complex. Examples are caring for kids, shopping cooking for the family and so on).
AT: Assistive technologies. (technologies that assist a person with a disability in performing tasks examples are walking canes, jar opener, bigger pens and so on)
“O”: Occupation (dynamic and action oriented activities that support full participation in life)
CMFA: Champions Made From Adversities.
Geriatrics: older people, usually above sixty five
Pediatrics: younger persons usually below twenty one.
Gait: walking or walk
ROM: range of motion (amount of movement that is possible at a joint)
PROM: passive range of motion (amount of movement that is possible at a joint, with external aid)
