Governors of the 36 states will today(02/02/2009) meet with the founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Mr. Bill Gates, to seek his assistance in eradicating wild polio virus in the country.
Gates, who through his Foundation, was involved in several interventions in the health sector, is visiting Nigeria to specifically hold high level discussions with government officials and other stakeholders in the health sector on the polio issue.
Director-General of the Governors’ Forum, Mr. Ashishana Okauru, stated these in a statement made available to our correspondent on Sunday in Abuja that the governors would meet with Gates at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel at 2pm.
The governors had after listening to a presentation by the Minister of Health, Prof Babatunde Osotimehin, at their last Governors’ Forum meeting in Abuja, resolved to partner with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that polio was eradicated in Nigeria.
The Gate Foundation had already earmarked about N7.2bn for polio eradication in Nigeria for 2009.

Did you know that the first time Bill Gates appled for a Nigerian Visa, he was denied, because The Nigerian government required proof that the Bill Gates would not stay in the country for a long time and become a burden to Nigeria’s social services and immigration. LOL!!!!

Obama's assasinnation plots
According to the Associated Press, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, has identified two white supremacists who allegedly plotted to go on a national killing spree, shooting and decapitating black people and targeting Democratic presidential candidate Sen.Barack Obama.
Obama's overwhelming appeal to young voters has often been compared to the Kennedy brothers' mystique. And I think I speak for many voters who have been afraid to think, let alone say, the A word during this election year.
AP is reporting that two neo-Nazi skinheads – Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman, 18, of Helena-West Helena, Ark. - who planned to kill 88 people, have been charged by federal authorities with possessing an unregistered firearm, conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed gun dealer, and threatening a candidate for president.
Both men are being held without bond. They had a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun and thr
ee pistols when they were arrested.
Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the Nashville field office for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, told AP that authorities took the threats very seriously.
"They said that would be their last, final act — that they would attempt to kill Sen. Obama," Cavanaugh said. "They didn't believe they would be able to do it, but that they would get killed trying." adapted from LAtimes.

Prospectives!!
In less than two weeks, history would be made in america, as you all know there are two historical party nominees, first one is Obama, barack, A forty eight year old mullato whose parents hail from kenya and USA. He was born in hawaii and made his way to senate house in chicago bla bla bla.. then chose an older guy to be his vice president Joe Biden.
the other guy his name is Mccain John, he was born in 1936 ( even my grandma calls him old) got into the army then into the house of senate in arizona bla bla bla and Chose a Woman to be his vice president, Sarah Palin
but now lets kinda talk about the women behind these men, cindy and michelle.
Michelle Robinson Obama.

she was executive director and now vice president of community and external affairs for the university of chicago medical center.
she got her bachelor's degree in sociology from princeton university (gbese, debt). she is also a graduate of Harvard law school (another gbese), where she received her juris doctor degree in 1988.
they got married in1992, and now have two daughters Malia, 1999 and Natasha, 2001.
Cindy Lou Hensley McCain.
May 20 1954.
she is the chair of hensley and Company, one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in the nation. she has bachelor's degree in education and masters in secial education for the university of south california.
they got married in 1980 and have two sons and a daughter Meghan 1984, John 1986, James 1988 and an adopted fourth child Bridget from bangladesh in 1991.
Questions to ponder:
Now do you think they would change the colour of 1600 pennsylvania avenue if the minority nominee wins?
Do you think McCain combs his own hair?
Do you think the chewing gum would ever help Obama quit smoking?
